Step-by-Step Guide

When you need to locate a work queue item that is sent or received you will use Find Item in the left hand menu

To narrow search first identify if you are looking for a Sent or Received work queue item

Drill down your search even more by identifying where you want to search

  • Current Work Queue: Will only search the queue you are working in
  • My Work Queues: Will search all of the queues you have diret access to; these are the queue listed under My Profile on the left menu
  • All Work Queues: Searches across all queues associated with your organization, you will only be able to view items found in work queue you do have direct access to.

If you know when the item was sent/received you can select a date range for a quicker more accurate search results

If you organization follows recommendations, and adds patients name and DOB on all sent and received items, the best way to search is by entering patients last name and DOB

If above search options returns no results, you can use the Attached File Text option. This option will search the text of the first 3 pages, we recommend keeping this simple and start with just the patient's last name.

***Entering estimated date range is HIGHLY recommended when using Attached File Text search option

If you organization uses the tag line within the work queue item, you can use the Tag option here to filter by items with similar tags. An example of this might be if all radiology results are updated with a Radiology tag line.

Lastly, if you know the fax number the item was sent to or received from you can use the Associated Fax Number field.
