Functionality & Appearance Updates
Internal Comments
Efficient communication has always been important to Centralis Health, because of this we have updated the way you document internally and communicate with external sources
Before Update
Comments saved in this section are visible by both the sending and receiving organizations IF both sides were Centralis Health participants.
After Update
Now you can update and add comments that ONLY users from your organization can see

New Audit Event
How it will look on the Work Queue list
Why the change?
Because you asked for it, and we listened

All external communications were conducted from the Item Details tab of the work queue item.
***Additional buttons are displayed for instructions only, some buttons may not appear depending on the type of items that was sent or received
After Update
All external communications will be now be conducted on the NEW Communication tab.
Comments added to this page will be visible to both the sending and receiving locations IF BOTH sides are Centralis Health participants

New Audit Event
***Audit will be slightly different depending on what button is selected on the communications tab
How it will look on the Work Queue list
Why the change?
Because we felt it was important to make a clear distinction between internal comments and external communications for a better user experience.
Centralis Health Goes Physicals
- No VOIP/Analog lines needed
- Awesome and fun customer support when you need it
- Even works on cellular hotspot if your internet goes down
How does it work?
Why the Change?
Because sometimes you have a physical piece of paper you need to send, and you want to trust Centralis Health with the transport of those records!
Track Records Request
Have you ever sent a request for records, and not realized you didn't receive the records until the day of the patients appointment? With the new Records Request check box you can keep your requests active in your sent queue for easy tracking and follow-up
Before Update
After Update
Available on New Item Page (seen below) and Centralis Health Desktop
Video
Items sent with the Request Request check requires Name and DOB and will now stay in an active status on The Dashboard in pending status.
Workflow Suggestion: When sending put the next appointment date in the tag line so you can follow up on records request by soonest upcoming appointment
If you only want to see sent Records Request on the dashboard you can use the display filter to see those counts. These filters can also be found on the Sent and Received queues to filter your list view as well.
Why the Change?
Because we believe it equally as important to track Records Request to completion just like patient Referrals
Referral Sending Provider
Speaking of patient referrals, you will now be able to track sending providers on referrals for both Centralis Health secure messages AND faxes
Before Update
No Sending Provider dropdown
After Update
Notice you now have a Sending Provider dropdown
Video
This dropdown is populated from YOUR private address book which your Account Designee/Super User has access to edit. Use this link to for instructions on how to Add/Edit/Remove contacts from your private address book: Private Address Book How To Guide
If you are able to export you export your referral partner address book from your EMR/PM system and provide to Centralis in .csv or .xlsx we are happy to do a one-time import to get you started.
Why the Change?
Because you asked for the ability to track sending provider for BOTH secure messages and faxes, and we agreed this was important.
Assignee is now Assignments
The Assignee dropdown has been used over the years to assign both Sent and Received items to people within an organization. It was time for a little updates to better match the workflow needs of today.
Before Update
You could only assign items to a user, and if you moved a work queue item the assignee would be removed.
After Update
You can still assign items to users, but Centralis Health can also create assignment types to utilize as a workflow alternative to additional internal work queues.
You can now move items to a new work queue and select a new assignment and the record will move to the new work queue and KEEP the assignment. (See video below for how this works)
You can also now send from the New Item page or Centralis Health Desktop and assign directly to a user or assignment type in the destination work queue. (See video below for how this works)

Why the change?
Because you asked and we listened.
Appearance Updates Only
Centralis Health Desktop
The functionality of the Centralis Health Desktop (CHD) has not changed one bit, ONLY the appearance.
Before update
After Update
Why the change?
This will help users differentiate the Centralis Health Desktop (CHD) and the secure web portal and make support efforts more efficient. We can now say "Is your screen purple?" and the response will help us get to a solution faster.
Secure Web Portal Icon Updates
This is just an refresh to the existing icons in the secure web portal

Internal Comments (NEW) | n/a |
Why the change?
We needed to add a couple new icons, and thought it was a good time for full icon refresh. How do we look?
Patient Lookup (appearance update only)
Patient lookup is now The Exchange
***Some users may not have access to this functionality, and should ignore this update
Before Update
After Update
Why the Change?
Based on user feedback we felt we needed to better differentiate the work queue level search from the Health Information Exchange (HIE) portion of the secure web portal
