Importing to Cerner Power Chart

1. Search for patient you need to import records for

2. In the patient menu select Note | Scan | Import

3. Select the Scan/Import icon

4. Towards the bottom left side of the Scan/Import screen click the Import button 

5. Browse to the folder you downloaded records to from Centralis Health web portal

  • Centralis Health Tip: Often you’ll need to select “Users” folder and find your PC’s name after selecting the local drive. If this isn’t done, Cerner will throw up an error.
  • Centralis Health Tip: Once you browse to the correct folder and import your first document, this folder location will become the default going forward (so you won’t need to browse to this folder location each time)

6. Select the document you and it will appear in the preview window

***Follow your organizations standard policies and procedures when populating Type, Author, Data, Status, Subject

  • Centralis Health Tip: To rotate, remove, re-order, split imported records click the 3 > on the right hand side

7. Work with your organization to set standard policy and procedures on how you finalize the import process to the chart
